Physical Effects of Anxiety
Physical effects of chronic anxiety may compromise various biological systems. These might include digestive, urological, cutaneous, cardiac, muscular, sexual, respiratory and neurological systems getting affected.
Digestive complications may end up in irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), diarrhea, indigestion, nausea, stomachache and constipation.
Urological problems may include urinary urgency and frequent urination.
Cutaneous effects show up as itchy skin and excessive sweating.
Cardiac complications result in chest pain, tachycardia and palpitations.
Muscular weakness occurs as in tetany, tremors and a constant feeling of fatigue.
Sexual problems may develop chronic pelvic pain syndrome, painful intercourse and even impotency.
Respiratory system is the most prone to get affected by anxiety ending up in a pattern of shallow breathing.
Neurological system starts showing signs of vertigo, headaches, paresthesias, presyncope and fasciculations.
How To Chakra Meditate For Anxiety Physical Symptoms And Its Mental Counterparts
The basic seed of anxiety lies in the mind. But this seems to be a conceptually wrong as well as an incomplete statement. It’s because we have not yet been able to define mind in a sufficiently concrete manner.
So where is mind located in the body? Or does it only have its existence in thought?
Mind is actually an interface between the brain and the rest of the body. Brain is connected with the rest of the body through a complex network of nerves carrying information electrochemically via neurons. Neurons carry their information in the language of electrical impulses and chemical transmissions which the brain understands very well. But the interface requires another language to communicate the same with the human awareness. This language speaks not in terms of its processes but its effects that the said communication brings to the awareness.
Instinctive Patterns
The said effective awareness aka mind essentially comprises a set of instinctive patterns. These patterns speak to the awareness in terms of instinctive cognition of the following instincts…
- Hunger
- Thirst
- Excretion
- Movement
- Interaction
- Grouping
- Curiosity
- Adventure
- Playfulness
- Love
- Sex
- Reproduction
- Parenting
Life Preservative Instincts Vs Life Challenging Instincts
All these above-mentioned instincts fall under either of the two different kinds of their patterns. Hunger, thirst, excretion, movement, grouping, playfulness, reproduction and parenting fall under life-preservative instincts.
On the other hand, interaction, curiosity, adventure, love and sex fall under life-challenging instincts. They challenge the preservation of life as far as the life of a single individual is concerned.
Curiosity leading to adventure may endanger life. Similarly curiosity leading to interaction with strangers may at times jeopardize an individual’s life. Love and sex carrying intense energy with them may ignore preserving life at times.
These life-preservative and life-challenging instincts in combination are what an effectively empty mind comprises as pure awareness. The optimum communication via nerves to and fro the brain keeps its functions of perception and consequent action spontaneously optimum. There is no conflict that would ever obstruct total perception resulting in an instantaneous action on the part of brain. The interface aka mind registers not the processes but only the effects of perceptions and consecutive actions. Hence it doesn’t develop an insight into them.
But the occasional traumas of losing life get imprinted on its awareness without an insight into their entire processes. It causes pain to awareness. And in the absence of insight, it holds the instincts of the life-challenging instincts responsible for it. As a result, it starts emphasizing on life-preservative instincts to be more important than the life-challenging ones. It even starts avoiding life-challenging instincts as and when they initiate the process of their satiation.
And when these life-challenging instincts build up their pressure for satiation, it tries to suppress or even repress them. For this it creates another faculty in the interface aka mind named as the moral faculty.
How A Fragmented Mind Generates Anxiety
That’s when the conflicts start polluting the pure awareness through fragmenting the mind in contradictory fragments. They keep fighting with one another all day long generating fatigue in the awareness. But that’s an effect registered in the interface which must come as result of a neural process communicating with brain.
This is how the mind starts obstructing total perception and instantaneous action by the central nervous system including the brain. Unfortunately, it just doesn’t stop there. The energy of life-challenging instincts getting suppressed or repressed generates another faculty in the awareness named as emotions. Emotions provide an inefficient energetic alternative keeping pressing against their suppression and repression through them for their instinctive satiation. They are actually unfulfilled instinctive perceptions pressing against morals without turning into actions for their satiation. They appear to the awareness as willful thoughts.
It further gives rise to the concept of free will, another name for ego. To combat this the moralistic faculty generates a new moral named will power. Will power works as the power acting against the will.
The Birth of The Closed Chakras
The mind further gets fragmented obstructing total perception and instantaneous action by the central nervous system including the brain. The instinctive energy keeps getting wasted dropping the skeletal joints under the effect of gravity and tucking them in. It distorts the muscles, nerves and blood vessels associated with these joints, especially at the vertebral column compressing vagus nerve.
The vagus nerve is the biggest and the most important nerve carrying messages from the gut to the brain. Once it gets compressed, its communication with the brain gets seriously compromised. This further obstructs total perception and instantaneous action by the central nervous system including the brain.
That’s how a fragmented mind not only distorts the brain’s instantaneous functioning but also the rest of the body posture. And this is what gives birth to the closed chakras in the body compromising the flow of energy through spine.
The instinctive energy turning into emotions is responsible for generating anxiety in this entire process. Hence it’s not a fragmented mind that generates anxiety, it itself is anxiety as such.

Hence the best, rather the only way to vanish anxiety is learning how to chakra meditate for anxiety. Once the knowledge is there, we just need to execute it through turning it into action.
How do we proceed with it?
The most simplified way to open all the closed chakras is to re-posture the spine and the skull. And then keep them so!
Opening the body chakras can be done instantaneously but to keep them open requires time and effort. We need to make the re-postured spine and the re-postured skull the first nature of our body. It takes time to break the habitual pattern that we have got used to live with throughout our life.
Habits die hard!
We need to invest energy before we get it back multi folded. The process of re-posturing the skeletal joints pertains to all 7 chakras essentially tends to empty the mind. It just needs to be left with the human instinctive patterns alone. The rest is taken care by brain and its nervous system not contaminated with the fragmentations of mind any more.
The Role of Neuroanatomy in Learning How To Chakra Meditate For Anxiety
Neural pathways include amygdalae which are the two clusters of nuclei inside the temporal lobes of cerebrum. They have been shown to process emotional responses including anxiety. They play a major role in exciting the HPA axis comprising hypothalamus, adrenal glands and pituitary gland.
The Role of The Gut-Brain Axis in Learning How To Chakra Meditate For Anxiety
Second neural pathway is the gut-brain axis initiated via release of neurotransmitters GABA, serotonin and dopamine by gut microbes. The gut-brain communication moves through the vagus nerve in the spine. It has been conclusively shown that the said gut-brain communication via vagus nerve considerably reduces anxious behavior in mice.
These observed phenomena confirm the chakra hypothesis activating the vagus nerve aka Sushumna enabling gut-brain communication aka Kundalini awakening. As it is enabled, the anxiety almost immediately comes down and ultimately vanishes within a short span of time.
